December 2021

 Hello Everyone,

After a year of COVID and not being able to get together last year we are again having our Hoopernacle Christmas programs this year. We are hoping to have a good crowd each night, and would love to have friends and strangers alike come to the organ barn.

The schedule for this year is as follows:

On Monday, December 20th, Brad Richards will be the speaker.

Tuesday, December 21st, Quinn McKay will speak to us.

Wednesday, December 22nd, Jack and Rosemary Wixom will speak.

Thursday, December 23rd, we will not have a speaker, just organ music, singing Christmas Carols and maybe some stories. If  you have a Christmas story you would like to share, we would love to hear it.

There will be music and Carol singing every evening. Please come and bring your friends.

We look forward to seeing you. May you all have a Blessed Christmas, and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

With Love, Hal and Joyce Stoddard

December 2019

Hello Everyone,

I am very slothful at keeping up this blog. We did end up having a Halloween program this past October, but we were so late getting it scheduled I didn't get at advertised very well. Karen Miller did a wonderful job. She said she and her husband, Stephen, will do it again next year so I will try to get it on the blog and we hope you will plan on attending.

We are getting ready for the Christmas Programs now. We have some really good speakers and entertainment so we hope we will get a good turnout. All the programs start at 7:00 pm. The programs are as follows:

Thursday, December 19th the speakers will be Mike and Kris Poulos, formerly with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Friday, December 20th we have Keeth and Kendall Kennington doing a musical program with maybe some cowboy poetry or other words they have for us.

Saturday, December 21st the speaker will be Brent Hoggan, who was the 1952 Student Body President at Weber High School.

Sunday, December 22nd the speaker will be Reed Richards, who is an attorney and was in the Ogden Temple presidency.

Monday, December 23rd the speaker will be Quinn McKay, our good friend who has spoken on the Prophet Joseph Smith's birthday for many years.

We really appreciate all those who have agreed to be on the programs. We also really appreciate donations to help with the upkeep of the pipe organ.

There are no restroom facilities in the organ barn so plan accordingly :)

Friday, December 20th we have Keeth and Kendall Kennington coming to do a musical program and maybe some cowboy poetry or whatever is on their minds.

Saturday, December 21st the speaker will be Brent Hoggan. He was the 1952 Student Body President at Weber High School.

We really appreciate all the participants who have so willingly agreed to be on the programs. Of course we will have some organ music and carol singing every evening.

Halloween 2017

Hello everyone, I am late getting this on the blog, but once again this year we are happy to announce that Hal and Karen Miller will be playing a Halloween Concert on Saturday October 28th, 2017, at 7:00 pm. Costumes are optional, but please no masks. No admission fee will be charged, but we appreciate donations for the upkeep of the organ and heating the building. There will also be a fun Halloween sing-along, and I'm sure we will have an enjoyable evening. Please come and bring your friends. Everyone is welcome. And just so you know--there are no restroom facilities at the barn. Also, plan ahead for the Christmas programs this year. They will be from December 19th to the 23rd. Hope to see you all soon.
